Japanese Box Office September 10-11

Kokuriko-Zaka Kara dropped form No. 7 to No. 8 on Box Office Mojo's chart. However, it edged out this year's Pokémon films as the highest-grossing domestic film at the Japanese box office in 2011. It earned the equivalent of US$672,582 for a new total of US$53,799,452. 

The live-action film adaptation Yumi Unita's Usagi Drop film slipped from No. 11 to No. 12 in its fourth weekend. It added US$419,824 to its total-to-date of US$6,569,857. 


The Prince of Tennis: Eikoku-shiki Teikyū-jō Kessen!, dropped from No. 12 to No. 13. With just 28 screens, it added US$324,407 for a new total of US$1,143,737. It continues to have the highest per-screen average, US$11,586, among the top 15 films.

This year's two Pokémon films, counted together, dropped from No. 10 to No. 14 in their ninth weekend. Combined, Gekijōban Pocket Monster Best Wishes! Victini to Kuroki Eiyū Zekrom and Gekijōban Pocket Monster Best Wishes! Victini to Shiroki Eiyū Reshiram earned US$320,823 for a grand total of US$53,387,786.
