15 Japan's Most Influential 80s～90s Bands! -SmaSTATION!!-

On May 28th, "SmaSTATION!!" aired a special of the Japan's 15 most important bands from the 80s and 90s. By the way, "SmaSTATION!!" is a program hosted by SMAP' Katori Shingo and Kinoshita Yoko.

When speaking of these top 15 bands, the number one position is held by Mr.Children, who have topped the single charts ever since their 5th single "innocent world" and all 29 singles that followed entered the charts at the pull position immediately.

On position number two legendary band BOØWY comes into the picture, rank three is held by B'z and number four by BLUE HEARTS. JUDY AND MARY, UNICORN, GLAY and X JAPAN can also be found within the ranking.

Moreover, during the program Kobayashi Katsuya also selected L'Arc-en-Ciel and SPITZ and presented them as bands that most people had certainly had heard of. This had certainly been a rather nostalgic program for many people in Japan.
